Special Education Information

The Madison Central School District offers a wide range of supports for students with disabilities who qualify for services under Part 200 of the Commissioner of Education. The Committee on Special Education (CSE) will meet to review any special education information for students entering the District and make appropriate recommendations.

New York State and federal law provides parents with rights regarding referral and evaluation of their child(ren) for the purposes of special education programs. To learn more, please review A Parent's Guide to Special Education, available through the New York State Education Department's website. Please also visit the Madison Central School District Special Education webpage to learn more about the special education process, continuum of services, and additional information for parents.

Questions about special education can be directed to Mr. Brian Latella, Elementary Principal & Chair of the Committee on Special Education, at (315) 893-1878.
