Will Prince Charming complete his quest to find the lady who is “The Fairest In The Land”?
Come and find out this weekend as Madison Central School presents its 2023 musical, Cinderella: Retold As A Musical Play!
Two performances will be presented. The opening performance will take place on Friday, March 31st, with an encore performance to follow on Saturday, April 1st. The curtain goes up on both shows at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door at a cost of five dollars each.
Cinderella: Retold As A Musical Play is a bright, charming and energetic adaptation of the classic story as told through the creative lens of playwrights Jack Perry and Robert Neil Porter. Audiences will enjoy watching the unlikely but heartwarming story of Prince Charming (Anthony Mancuso) and Cinderella (Alyssa Braun) as they shed the expectations of their past to find true love. Along their journey, classic characters such as the stepmother (Zoey Billings), stepsisters (Jenna Burns and Alexis Rundle), and the fairy godmother (Grace Davie) help to shape the story into one that will truly delight.
Unique to this production is a faithful dog named Rover (Justin Burns), who guides Cinderella along with the magical power of speech granted by the Fairy Godmother.
The company is directed by MCS vocal music teacher Alexandra Palese. The production is licensed through a special agreement with Pioneer Drama, Inc, of Centennial, Colorado.
