I earned my Bachelor degree from SUNY at Fredonia and my Master degree from SUNY at Buffalo, where I specialized in ecology and evolution. Following graduation, I worked for Ward's Natural Science for a year while I completed my teaching certifications. I came to Madison after several years in Oxford, NY.
