A big thank you goes out to Alder Creek Beverages in Boonville for its generous donation of 500 sports style water bottles to Madison Central School District.
The district turned off the spout style water fountains around the building to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The spouts were replaced with water bottle filling stations and students were encouraged to bring in their own water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the day. It was quickly discovered that not all students owned water bottles and Mr. Nichols began looking for solutions. That's when Superintendent Jason Mitchell reached out to one of the co-founders of ACB, Paul Rayhill. Rayhill was quick to offer help in the form of Nirvana water.
Mr. Mitchell made the trip to the ACB plant along with MCS cleaner Clarissa Hyde, where a pallet of bottles was loaded up and brought back to the school. The water bottles will be distributed as needed.
"On behalf of our students, I'd like to thank Mr. Rayhill and everyone at ACB for their generosity," Mitchell said.
