Blue Packs

Dear Community member,

We are pleased to announce our school is starting a program called Blue Packs (Balancing Lives Unifies Education).  This program, which is designed for families who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Meal program, will not be possible without the help of our local businesses and organizations.

Every Friday students will bring home a backpack filled with two breakfasts, two lunches, and four snacks for the weekend.  Backpacks are returned on Mondays to be refilled for the following Friday.  Student groups at the Middle and High School level will take turns filling the backpacks each week.

Currently, there are 253 students in grades Prek-12 who receive free or reduced lunch at Madison Central School.  It will cost approximately $80 per child, per year, to make Blue Packs (Balancing Lives Unifies Education) a successful program for our district.  Every donation is important and the need is always great.

If you would like to donate, you can send/write checks to:
Madison Teachers’ Association
Madison Central School
7303 State Route 20
Madison, NY 13402
Checks should be made out to:  Madison Teachers’ Association
In the Memo section, please write:  Blue Packs donation

All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged.  One hundred percent of the donations go to the cost of the food for Madison Central School students.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please feel free to contact Michele Cotter at (315) 893-1878 or  Thank you for your support of this important cause in our community!
