MCS Discovery Trail Staircase
MADISON, NY - The Madison Central School District continued work on the MCS Discovery Trail project through its second “Community Volunteer Day” held on Saturday, September 25th.
A group of a dozen dedicated volunteers brought the gift of their time and a great attitude to help us make improvements around our new staircase leading into Madison Lake Park, and also in clearing some areas throughout the woods so that we can add features like picnic tables for an outdoor classroom.
Because of the efforts of our volunteers, and MCS Facilities Director Mr. Chris Post, much of the upper trail work is now done and students can walk safely all the way down to the lake!
There is more work to be done yet, but we couldn’t be more thankful for the help we have received from our community!
