Welcome to the Madison Agricultural Department and the Madison FFA Web Page! The Agriculture Department and the FFA has been in existance here at Madison since 1930.
The Madison Agriculture Department offers instruction in the following agricultural areas: agricultural mechanics, agricultural business, plant science, animal science, aquaculture and FFA leadership activities. Agriculture students have access to a 14' by 35' greenhouse, an aquaculture lab where students raise brook and brown trout, a turtle, and hydroponic plants. We have an animal science lab where we raise mini-rex and holland lops rabbits and a seventy acre land laboratory where students raise corn, wheat, barley, oats, alfalfa, sweet corn and other vegetable crops. Agricultural students also maintain a wide variety of farm equipment that includes three tractors, plows, discs, drags, corn planter, grain drill, sprayer, woodsplitter, and a Gleaner Combine.
All members of the agricultural classes are members of the Madison FFA. The Madison FFA Chapter is one of the largest in New York State with over 215 members, grades 6 through 12. Madison FFA members are involved in over fifty FFA activities at the local, state and national level.
